Did you know that several image quality problems can be solved by cleaning your machine? Let’s take a look at some of the most common issues. Lines, spots, streaks, voids, deletions on copies or scans can be caused by dirty Document or Constant Velocity Transport (CVT) glass. Clean the glass on the machine once a month or whenever quality issues arise.

There are also several other areas of the machine that you can clean yourself that will help you to avoid issues. On some machines you need to periodically clean the laser windows or print head lenses to prevent inconsistencies in density of color in copies or prints. To find out what you can do to keep your machine clean, go to the Online Support page for your machine and select the Perform Machine Maintenanceor Maintain the Machine link.
