We have seen questions about printing spreadsheets. The questions are mostly about how to print using finishing options, such as duplex, with a spreadsheet. Let’s take a look at how to setup a spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel as our example. The process may be different depending on the spreadsheet program you are using.

Put simply each worksheet must have the finisher option applied to it separately. It is not as easy as maybe it should be but it is a known issue within Excel 2003, 2007, and 2010.

Please visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/214383 for more information directly from Microsoft. The solution or workaround is as follows according to the Microsoft support site.

To apply the Finishing options such as duplex, or stapling to all worksheets in your workbook, follow these steps:

When you print your workbook, all worksheets are printed with the finishing options selected.
